The Blue Guard Home screen shows how many domain lookups were refused, for today and for the past week.

3. Use the category control to show one category on its own.

What the counts represent

These numbers come from app-wide blocking alone. That mechanism answers a lookup on the device and records that it did so, which is the only thing there is to count.

Safari blocking contributes nothing to these numbers. Safari is given the rules once and does the matching itself, so it reports nothing back. Blue Guard cannot count what Safari blocked without watching your browsing, which it does not do.

A count of zero with Safari blocking on and app-wide blocking off is therefore normal, and does not mean nothing was blocked.

Limits

The counts are totals per category per day, and nothing finer. There is no record of which domain was refused, at what time, or on behalf of which app, so none of that can be shown to you either.

What is stored

A single number per category per day, held on your device for 30 days and then discarded. None of it is sent anywhere. Privacy and data covers what else the app keeps.
